Here she is, Roxolanne. This is her real name (before, she was called Rolande, but I think I'll prefer that name). The explanation of her name:

She is descedent from a slave of the Roxolan people. This slave was a roman, captured by them. After some years of captivity, he managed to escape, and when he came back, everybody would call him "Roxolan", in memory of his story. The tradition of this family is that every child born with red haid like this ancester would be called Roxolan. That's why the son of Roxolanne here is called also Roxolan.

About the drawing itself: well, I think I made some improvments in anatomy, dynamic poses, painting and so on, don't you think?

Lovely anatomy. Very nice~ ^^
Very nice. I especially like the borderwork, and the background's simplicity is greatly rewarding for the overall piece. The character has an earthern look about her too, and yes, good job on the tricky pose as well. :)

Never give up your dreams in a struggle.
something still doesn't look right about the face and the left knee, but yes, you evolved a lot from all points of view. i still think Rolande is a better name, but if you want to emphasize her origin, Roxolanne will do. atough it would be weird for everyone in her family to have the same name... O_o
thanks god, they are not all red haired, lol. Romans did have this tradition, for example, Octavius (future Augustus) and his sister Octavia, Or Julius Caesar and his sister Julia... people in that time had to use "mother", or "secundus" or "elder" and son on to distinguish between them :)

pulcherissimus!

i particularly like the pose and her face, the lower knee looks a little strange, but all in all a very beautiful piece

Hs: j'aime toujours autant ton avatar xD
