After a hard day of work, the two slave brothers are coming back home. The cherries are a gift from their good master, Beticus. I wanted to show this particular moment of the day, when you finally finished your duties, and you have this feeling of freedom. This feeling for a slave would be cruelly more enjoyable. You are looking to this very special moment, don’t disturb them

Redraw the horse legs, shortened Carbone's arms, give some contrast to the picture, retouched the sky and a lot of things. Maybe now this pic is a bit darker, but, hey, it is becoming night.

Notes

I tried to do a horse the way it could have been those days. So, I choose an iberic race, well known in all the empire, like nowadays andalusian. Or at least, I tried to do one. What it is important to know, is that the andalusian didn’t exist those days, but it came from the Equus Ibericus, Iberic Horse. So, this horse of Clarisse is pretty much like what they could have mounted in that time, I hope.

Oh, by the way, they will pick up the grapes tomorrow, it’s time to do some new good wine.
